Gregory Gorman
Business development in the USA
In
the 1990s, Gregory Gorman worked with HP and at the
Computer & Communications Industry Association with
Fujitsu, Verizon (Bell Atlantic/Nynex,) and SBC Communications
in a variety of roles including account management,
copyright and privacy law, government procurement and
spectrum allocation. In 1997, Gregory founded Tertius
Advisory Services to provide international business
development services to entrepreneurial companies in
Europe and the Bay Area. He has consulted with a number
of leading technology companies including Aligo (USA),
Metamerge (Norway), Solid Data Systems (USA) and Winbox
SA (Belgium). From 1999-2002, Gregory served as Director
of the UK-based Open Group's Mobile Management Forum
developing industry best practices and common architectural
requirements for Device Management, Directory and Mobile
Computing, Session Management and Mobile Security. He
also led business development and marketing efforts
for WAP testing and certification suites. In that role,
he worked closely with such industry notables as Ericsson,
Nokia, Openwave, Symbian, NTT DoCoMO and Vodafone.
Since
the fall of 2003, he serves as principal business advisor
to the E-Accelerator's Service Hub in San Francisco.
The Accelerator is dedicated to providing international
business development services to European digital media
companies who wish to undertake business expansion into
the United States.
Gregory
holds a BA from St. Michael's College in Vermont, and
MA from the College of Europe in Belgium and a Juris
Doctor from Catholic University School of Law in Washington,
DC. Born in France, Gregory speaks German, French and
Spanish.
