Surbhi
Sharma
Business development in India
Surbhi
Sharma started her professional career as an entrepreneur
in 1995. In two years, she successfully sold her business
to start a consulting firm in 1997, Resource Management
Group, that catered to the needs of IT firms' Internationalization
goals. This provided her the right opportunities to
explore various markets, technology platforms, and an
insight to how the Tech sector functions. In the year
2001 she converted the business to a Non Profit Organization,
in order to broaden the reach of the organisation to
serve many more SMEs. ITSMA, the non-profit organisation,
caters to the needs of SMEs in the International and
domestic market. It assists International companies
access the Indian market and advises on the right partnerships
and collaborations.
The motivation behind this thought process was Surbhi's
early exposure to diverse development programs with
both Indian and International groups such as Rotract
Club, OPIRG (Ontario Public Interest Research Group)
and McMaster University, Hamilton.
She has participated in European Union funded projects
and has a vast experience in assisting European clients
to have their setup in India.
Ansted University, Malaysia conferred an Advisory Board
membership to Surbhi. Incidentally, she is also on the
Advisory Board of a few companies.
